What OpenFOS does
OpenFOS is an independent civic-tech prototype. It organises voluntary, timestamped establishment evidence into a public record that is easier for citizens to understand.
For food establishments · Hyderabad pilot
OpenFOS helps Food Business Operators create a dated, citizen-readable record of identity, operating scope and category-relevant evidence.
We are currently onboarding through direct conversations, not instant self-registration.

How to register
This protects establishments from false claims and ensures the right operator receives access.
Tell us your establishment name, Hyderabad location and the best person to speak with.
We match the business to its existing listing and review official FSSAI/FoSCoS identity evidence.
Once approved, the authorised operator receives access to the establishment profile and evidence tools.
Submit dated, category-appropriate operating evidence and keep public information current for citizens to inspect.
Current prototype scope: Synthetic Hyderabad records across food services, manufacturing, retail, storage, logistics and digital or international food trade.
Contact us
Send a short introduction with your establishment name and location. We will explain the verification and onboarding process.

Operating profile
Scope, controls, facilities and traceability
Keep public details and operational information clear, current and attributable to your business.
Add available licence and operating evidence with its status and source clearly identified.
Use category-specific evidence prompts so source, capture time and location can accompany a submission.
Create a dated public history. OpenFOS explains the evidence without calling it a certification.
Display a fresh server challenge in live premises evidence so old stock images cannot satisfy the verification step.
